I've heard it all before
This Changes Everything is nothing I haven't heard of before. Yes, it crosses off all of the inclusive, dramatic, and emotional points that add to the possibility of the end of the world. However, at this point what is keeping me from being impacted as heavily as this documentary wants me too. By that I mean, I know people are suffering, I know climate change is a life or death situation, and I also know who the culprits are. But what am I to do. Where do I sign up, what candidates do I vote for, what companies do I boycott, what action do I take?
Doesn't anybody get tired of talking till their blue in the face? I find my conflict with this documentary to be the same conflict I have with movements such as the Black Lives Matter. I am a vivid supporter but I'm also tired of talking. Im tired of marching and feeling like I am not making an impact. So I can't be the only one that feels this way. If the world is essentially coming to catastrophic ends and people are being affected everyday due to the actions of a select and rich few, why have we not taken over. I know the answer is pretty difficult to answer. But honestly, I'm going to keep asking it. I know their laws, and rules but damn.
All in all This Changes Everything, was one of the more emotionally charged documentaries we have watched. Maybe that's why I'm so fed up. It doesn't make sense to me how people can constantly ignore the world literally changing in front of them. I'm sure this wont be the last documentary about the terrible affects of climate change and fossil fuel usage. But what I am sure of is that something has got to give, because I've heard it all before and unfortunately might see it come to an end. I guess thats what that means when they say This Changes Everything.
